In yesterday's post about my first summer visit to the\nKajuji Temple (\u52e7\u4fee\u5bfa)<\/span><\/a> in Kyoto, I mentioned<\/span> that it was much more\n“Alive” than in the bleak\nof winter<\/a>. It's got a<\/span> lot of animal life, but this post highlights some\nof the botanical life.<\/p>\n\n

As far as I can tell, the lifespan of the lotus brings its flower through a\nfew<\/span> visually-distinct stages, but it's difficult to be sure exactly what's\ngoing on...<\/p>\n\n\n
