As I mentioned the other day in “Kyoto\u2019s Kajuji\nTemple at its Most Bleak (is Still Very Nice)<\/a>”, it was indeed rather bleak (but still rather nice)\nwhen I first<\/span> visited in the winter, but a recent<\/span> Japan Times article about\nits summer beauty reminded me to make another visit, so this morning I\ndid.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

He (she?) arrived at the nest immediately following what appeared to be\nthe other parent, and such a racket<\/span> arose that I thought<\/span> there was a heron<\/span>\nmassacre going on. Or mating. Only after I saw<\/span> the fuzzy “little” ones did\nI realize<\/span> that it was parents feeding two or three “babies”....<\/p>\n\n
