Hiei <span class='nobr'>(\u6bd4\u53e1\u5c71)<\/span>\n<\/div>\n\n<p>I snapped this shot on <a\nhref='\/blog\/2012-06-02\/2008'>yesterday's hike<\/a>. <span class='nobr'>It was very<\/span> hazy, so the &#8220;layered mountain&#8221; effect that <span class='nobr'>I like<\/span> so much was strong.\nPerhaps too strong... <span class='nobr'>I would<\/span> have liked more contrast.<\/p>\n\n<p>Taken from almost the same spot, looking <span class='nobr'>a different<\/span> direction, is <span class='nobr'>a moody<\/span> shot <span class='nobr'>I like<\/span> of the\n&#8220;Azalea Hillside&#8221; (\u3064\u3064\u3058<span class='nobr'>\u30f6\u4e18),<\/span> which can apparently be spectacular, but <span class='nobr'>I missed<\/span> it by <span class='nobr'>a week<\/span>:<\/p>\n\n<div class='ic'><a name=\"114689\" href='\/i\/JF7_114689.jpg'\n><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/i\/JF7_114689_sm.jpg\" width=\"690\" height=\"431\"\nalt=\"desktop background image of azaleas on Mt. Maybe it's some kind of\nweird reflection whose color changes subtly with angle? <span class='nobr'>Or maybe<\/span> elevation\nrelated... but where do <i>cyan<\/i> and <i>magenta<\/i> come from?<\/p>\n\n<p>I am, if you'll excuse the pun, <span class='nobr'>a bit<\/span> hazy on how this could happen.
