Last fall I discovered the largest hamburger I'd ever seen in real life,\nat the restaurant “Hagi” (\u8429) a couple<\/span> of kilometers west of Kyoto Station. I went back<\/span> today with Paul Barr (with whom I'd discovered it, as seen in\nthis photo in front\nof the restaurant<\/a>) and another friend to give the burger another\ntry.<\/p>\n\n

Three hamburger patties, egg, bacon, and Lord knows what else... it was\nbig, but not nearly as big as I remembered<\/span> it from before. I was a<\/span> bit\ndisappointed. Still, it towered over the plate... a plate<\/span> so deep that the little minifig\nbarely reached the lip.<\/p>\n\n\n

This was their big “Mountain Burger”, I think<\/span> it's called. Paul had the\nmuch smaller Avocado Burger, which I'll have to try next time. The coffee<\/span> is very good, which also recommends the place.<\/p>\n\n

Sadly, the owner has chosen to allow smoking, so one person can ruin it\nfor everyone else, as happened today, so I'll be a lot<\/span> less inclined to\nchoose to visit. I wonder<\/span> whether I can<\/span> get a burger<\/span> to go?<\/p>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
