There were plenty of folks enjoying the blossoms, but it was quiet and\nrelaxed, nothing at all<\/i> like the ugly, disgusting spectacle you so\noften find (that I wrote<\/span> about seven years ago in “The Ugliness of Japanese\nCherry-Blossom Viewing<\/a>”). It wasn't even like\n“Cherry-Blossom Joie de Vivre<\/i> in Kyoto<\/a>”. It was just<\/span> a normal<\/span> (chilly) Sunday afternoon\nin the park with kids playing and folks jogging, but with a quiet<\/span> floral bonus for those who happened by.<\/p>\n\n

Anyway, the photo above is horrible from a photographic<\/span> sense, but I like<\/span> the mood.<\/p>\n\n\n

I was playing catch with Anthony and his friend in an area across from\nthe blossom grove when I noticed<\/span> this group of smartly-dressed folks, and\njust had to pick up the camera. All three<\/span> looked so very\nappropriate<\/i>, the triumph of quiet elegance and class\nover gaudiness.<\/p>\n\n

I'm a bit disappointed in my shots, and would have loved a better<\/span>\nopportunity than the one I snuck<\/span> for myself between pitches.<\/p>\n\n
