Almost back home\nto eastern Kyoto in the late afternoon, the combination of everything\nresulted in an intense rainbow that <span class='nobr'>I stopped<\/span> to snap <span class='nobr'>a few<\/span> photos of to\nmake <span class='nobr'>a vertical<\/span> panorama.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>The rainbow aside, the light was really gorgeous, with both because the\nlow angle of the sun made for <span class='nobr'>a deeper<\/span> orange (because the longer path\nthrough the atmosphere strips the blue, which is why sunsets are deeply\ncolorful) and because the clouds blocked much of the blue from the sky that\nnormally fills in what had been stripped in the first place. <span class='nobr'>The whole<\/span> day\nwas punctuated with moments with this kind of glorious light.
