It's been a while since I posted one of my “What am I?”\nquizzes<\/a>, so here's a new<\/span> one. But let me<\/span> be up front about one thing:\nthe picture above is a daytime<\/span> picture that I've tried to make look like it\nwas taken at night. It's really<\/span> dark because it was an area with few\nlights, and there was no moon.<\/p>\n\n

On our trip last week to Bunny Island<\/a>, we stayed\nat a hotel<\/span> on a mountain<\/span> overlooking a small<\/span> marina. This hotel, the Bella\nVista Sakaigahama\n\n (\u30d9\u30e9\u30d3\u30b9\u30bf\u5883\u30ac\u6d5c<\/a>)<\/span>\n\nhad, by far, the best baths I'd ever been to.<\/p>\n\n

Among them was a large open-air hot bath with a great<\/span> view of the sea,\nand in that view near the shore was a small<\/span> marina and a large<\/span> complex that I couldn't<\/span>\nquite figure out what it was. The photo<\/span> above (from my room during the day)\napproximates my first view of the complex (from the bath at night). There\nwas no moon so it was quite dark — even darker than the photo above\nconveys — but I could<\/span> tell that there are boats, and beyond that some\nbig structure with pipes and tanks and such.<\/p>\n\n

I couldn't figure out exactly what it was, but assumed it was related to\nthe marina and the boats' need for gasoline, but with all those pipes it\nlooks to be related to the manufacture of gasoline more than its\ndistribution, and that makes no sense at a marina,<\/span> so I was<\/span> left scratching\nmy head.<\/p>\n\n
