We spent the day at Okunoshima Island<\/a>\n (\u5927\u4e45\u91ce\u5cf6),<\/span>\n\na small<\/span> island in Japan's Seto Inland Sea with an unsavory history, now better\nknown as “Rabbit Island” because of its large population of wild rabbits. The rabbits<\/span> have domesticated humans, having them provide food in return for the rabbits looking cute.\nAnthony has been<\/a> a couple<\/span> of times with Fumie's folks, but\ntoday was the first time we took him.<\/p>\n\n

We had to leave before sunset, but it was still a pleasant<\/span> view.<\/p>\n\n

After arriving back on the mainland, the ferry turned around for the next trip...<\/p>\n\n

In the far background, you can just make out a large<\/span> suspension bridge.\nIt's one<\/a> of the many on the shimanami kaido<\/a><\/i> road that hops and skips islands for the 50km\nor so needed to connect the Japanese mainland to Shikoku, one of the big\nislands of Japan, as I mentioned<\/span> earlier in the year in this post<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n
