\n\nI used to love<\/b> garlic, but I think<\/span> that all changed this morning\nwhen I woke<\/span> up leaking concentrated garlic extract from every pore of my\nbody.\n\n<\/p>

\n\nYesterday while relaxing with a beer,<\/span> I enjoyed<\/span> a snack<\/span> best described as\n“corn-nut garlic”. Cloves of garlic deep fried and turned into big puffy\ncrunchy snacks, very much like hyper-seasoned corn nuts. They were strong,\nof course, but no more than a good<\/span> garlic potato chip or other well-seasoned snacks.\n\n<\/p>\n

\n\n\n\n\nI didn't<\/span> have too many of them, though -- maybe a third<\/span> of a 120<\/span>-gram bag\n(a total<\/span> of about an ounce or so). But this morning<\/span>, I awoke<\/span> with a general<\/span>\nunease. I just didn<\/span>'t feel right, and my head hurt.\n\n<\/p>

\n\nOh, and I reeked of garlic. Garlic was coming out of my hair. Ears. Nose.\nGarlic was coming from my eyeballs. And oh, yes, it was on my breath. I actually<\/span> couldn't smell it myself, but I could<\/span> feel<\/b> it oozing from\nme. I'll spare you the details, but it's suffice to say that my bathroom\nexperience for the whole day was new and, uh, tumultuous<\/a>.\n\n<\/p>

\n\nToday was a busy day -- I had a lot<\/span> of errands to do (catching up on some\nshopping, I finally<\/span> bought a TV<\/a> and DVD-Recorder<\/a>\nTiVo type thing for Fumie, and a small scooter<\/a> for myself) and I was<\/span> keenly aware that\nanyone getting within 50 yards of me would want to gag. I held my<\/span> breath a\nlot,<\/span> in the hopes of sparing those closest.\n\n<\/p>

\n\nI came home this evening, a good 20 hours after eating them, thinking that\nperhaps I was<\/span> mostly over it, but Fumie said that I was<\/span> still extremely,\nuh, “strong”. Putting Anthony down to bed later, I asked<\/span> him if\nI was<\/span> still stinky. “Yeah<\/b>” was his understated answer. I asked<\/span> if he liked a stinky<\/span> Daddy, and he just shook his head. Indeed.\n\n<\/p>

\n\nRelaxing now in my office, I realize<\/span> that I can<\/span> still feel it oozing<\/i>\nfrom my pores. And yes, my eyes. My eyes are<\/span> still oozing garlic.\n\n<\/p>

\n\nI found the image above via Y! Japan image search, associated with\nsomeone's blog\npost<\/a>, where the guy mentions that he tried them. He goes on<\/span> to say\n“The bag I found<\/span> had only 1\/3rd the amount in the package you see,\nand so that's all I ate,<\/span> but in the morning I was<\/span> obviously a human<\/span>\n“dangerous weapon”. It's recommend<\/span> to not be careless and come too\nclose.<\/b>”\n\n<\/p>

\n\nThe remains of the mostly-full bag are going into the trash, as will I if<\/span>\nthis doesn't clear up by tomorrow morning.\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
