After “discovering” yesterday that I'd not even looked at thousands of\nphotos from last year's fall-foliage season, I thought<\/span> I'd go through a bit<\/span>\nmore today to pick some from the first batch, an outing to the Eikando Temple\n(\u6c38\u89b3\u5802)<\/span> in eastern Kyoto. Unlike yesterday's highly “artsy” shots<\/a>,\nthese are pretty straightforward.<\/p>\n\n

I posted an almost identical\npagoda photo<\/a> a couple<\/span> of years ago, though it was later in the season then,\nand the light wasn't as good. Many of the shots on today's post are similar\nto previous years', as any of the under-image “nearby photos”\nlinks will attest....<\/p>\n\n

The bridge is common target of photos, with folks near where I was<\/span>\nstanding jostling for good camera position. As with many<\/span> endeavors,\npatience and courtesy are virtues. The bridge<\/span> looks great at night as well\n(seen here<\/a>),\nthough photos would be better if you were allowed to use a tripod.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

This next version of the bridge has some of Lightroom's “Funky Joy<\/a>” negative clarity...<\/p>\n\n
