A few more shots from last week's rice-harvest mountain scooter ride<\/a>. I returned<\/span> to the area yesterday to give some prints to the nice farmer lady<\/a>,\nbut the shots in this post are from the original trip last week.<\/p>\n\n

The small combine, a Yanmar<\/a> Ee213, runs about US$22,000 new.<\/p>\n\n

I'm not sure why this rice isn't bundled to dry like many fields we've\nseen, but it could be that it was processed with the combine above, which\ntakes the grains off the stalks, and so the stalks are just left until\ncleaned up later. I don't<\/span> know.<\/p>\n\n\n
