I've got enough backlog of photos I want<\/span> to share to fill a year's<\/span> worth\nof posts, and my running post rate for the last few years is about one post\na day,<\/span> but lately I've just not been interested in writing, so my posts of\nlate have been infrequent. We might, however, get a spike<\/span> in posts for a\nwhile,<\/span> because today I took<\/span> a scooter<\/span> ride into the mountains of northern\nNara Prefecture (south of Kyoto, between Kyoto and Osaka), and had a great<\/span>\ntime, both photographically and personally.<\/p>\n\n

As you can see, there were a bazillion flowers at the side of the road,\nbut the one I photographed<\/span> (and I photographed<\/span> only the one) really stood\nout as having a perfectly<\/span> curved bowl shape. It reminded<\/span> me of the\nmoss-covered oblong stone ball on top of a stone<\/span> lantern seen here<\/a>, which\nalso had a shape<\/span> that just captivated me. (I have<\/span> a bazillion<\/span> photos\nconcentrating on that moss-covered stone, but I've yet found one worthy to\npost.)<\/p>\n\n
