These first two photos, from a side area at Kyoto's Sennyuji Temple<\/a>, probably\ndon't look like much in the thumbnails here on the blog, but clicking\nthrough to larger versions and they have a certain<\/span> “presence”, especially\nthe first one. Or maybe<\/span> it's just me, but I like<\/span> them.<\/p>\n\n

Wandering further around the fringes of the huge-but-ill-defined temple area, I came across<\/span> a sub<\/span> temple with a nice<\/span> entrance garden...<\/p>\n\n

One of its buildings has a wide veranda with a roof<\/span> of exposed beams,\nthat perhaps looks a bit<\/span> more interesting in B&W....<\/p>\n\n

In one corner I noticed a delicate little tree full of blossoms with big color...<\/p>\n\n

It was early April, so there were blossoms of all sorts all around. In the previous<\/span> post in this series, I showed<\/span> some pink rhododendron\nblossoms<\/a>, and in earlier posts on the same morning stroll, I showed<\/span> the perfect\nblossom<\/a>, otome tsubaki<\/i> (\u4e59\u5973\u693f),<\/span> with an encore followup here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n

Wandering further, I came across<\/span> a bell<\/span> under a roof,<\/span> quite far away from anything else...<\/p>\n\n\n
