The first photo in yesterday's “Roofs and Rock\nGardens at Kyoto's Sennyuuji Temple<\/a>\", the first photo shows the view\nfrom the entrance that I'd happened upon as I'd wandered the general area. It turns<\/span> out it was a small<\/span> side entrance, with just a small<\/span> hut with a\nfee<\/span>-collecting monk inside. (The hut can be seen at the left of the first\nphoto of that post.)<\/p>\n\n

Above is a view of the entrance and the hut, both sitting under the\nsprawling canopy of a perfectly<\/span>-shaped maple brimming with the vibrant\ngreen of spring. It was gorgeous<\/span> (though looks like a bonsai<\/span> in the\nthumbnail... click through to the full-screen view for the real deal).<\/p>\n\n

As pretty as it was, all I could imagine was what it would look\nlike in the fall; I can't<\/span> wait to find out.<\/p>\n\n
