It was almost a month ago that I made<\/span> the first drive through the rural\nmountain villages of Uji City (southern Kyoto Prefecture, Japan) with\nfriends Katsunori Shimada and Paul Barr. We went again<\/a> the next week,\nand on other photographic\nadventures<\/a> since, but I still<\/span> have photos I want<\/span> to share from that\nfirst trip, so that's what this post is.<\/p>\n\n

I'm a big<\/span> fan of thin depth of field, but in this next case (taken with\na 300mm<\/span> f\/2<\/a>), I find having<\/span> to scan around for something in focus leaves me a touch<\/span> queasy. What\ndo you think?<\/p>\n\n
