So, last week with “Revisiting Imabari's Colorful Towel Museum<\/a>” I was<\/span> wrapping\nup a series<\/span> of posts (part: one<\/a> and two<\/a>) about the\noddly-interesting Towel Museum in Imabari, Japan, and I ended<\/span> with a shot<\/span>\nof the flowers on our table at the museum's cafe.<\/p>\n\n

But the little unassuming collection of flowers becomes great fodder for\nexploration with the creamy goodness<\/a> of the Cosina Voigtl\u00e4nder 125mm\nf\/2.5<\/a>, so while waiting for our food, I took a<\/span> few minutes to try\ndifferent compositions. I was working<\/span> handheld as I always<\/span> do (almost<\/a>), and just putzing\naround until the food came.<\/p>\n\n\n

I almost always use the Voigtl\u00e4nder wide open, for obvious reasons,\nbut I shot<\/span> at the one above at f\/11 to increase depths of field. The result<\/span> turned out to be boring and clinical, so in Lightroom I blasted<\/span> most of the\nframe with the negative-clarity funky joy<\/a> technique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Really, this lens opens up such opportunities, you're just limited by your own skill and artistic sense.\nThis doesn't bode well for me, but it's fun to putz around.<\/p>\n\n
