Posting about Christmas now is a bit<\/span> late, but I'm still trying to\nrecover after watching the last week of the year\nevaporate<\/a>, so here we are.<\/p>\n\n

We started things off with a present from my folks for Anthony, which\nturned out to be a little<\/span> Curious George<\/a> ornament\nin which George is reading a George<\/span>-related Christmas book.<\/p>\n\n

It turns out that we actually own the George book featured in the little\nornament, so I tried<\/span> to grab a quick<\/span> snap of the two, but it was difficult to\nzoom up close enough to make the page in the ornament clearly visible while still\nbeing far enough back to get the page of the real book in view...<\/p>\n\n

We had a nice time opening up all the presents.<\/p>\n\n

The highlight for Anthony was the Star Wars® LEGO™ set from\nSanta, but he also enjoyed the present from my folks to Fumie, a Teaposy “blooming tea” set<\/a> that we put to use with\nthe cake we had after the presents were all opened.<\/p>\n\n

I'd never hear of “blooming tea”, but it's apparently popular considering\nthe number of people who answered my aquatic “What am I?” quiz<\/a>\nthe other day.<\/p>\n\n

The various parts of the “posy” have been stitched together with some\nkind of natural(-looking) thread such that it looks like a complete<\/span> (if not\nother-worldly) whole. It was quite<\/span> the hit, and the tea was actually tasty,\ntoo. Thanks Mom!<\/p>\n\n
