{"id":167,"date":"2006-03-29T12:36:11","date_gmt":"2006-03-29T03:36:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/regex.info\/blog\/2006-03-29\/167"},"modified":"2006-03-30T08:36:13","modified_gmt":"2006-03-29T23:36:13","slug":"server-logs-and-the-strange-way-people-find-my-pages","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/regex.info\/blog\/2006-03-29\/167","title":{"rendered":"Server Logs and the Strange Way People Find My Pages"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\n<p>\n\nEvery so often I look at my webserver logs to see by what means people\nhappen to find pages on my web server. <span class='nobr'>It's particularly<\/span> interesting to\nlook at the web searches that bring people to random blog pages and the\nlike, and it can sometimes be quite amusing just to see the variety.\n\n<\/p>\n\n<p>\n\nAs one might expect, many of the searches that bring people here are\nrelated to my book (since <a href=\"\/\">the book's web\nsite<\/a> is also on this server). There are also <span class='nobr'>a fair<\/span> number of searches\non my name, which are probably book-related as well.\n\n<\/p><p>\n\nThe amusing ones, though, are generally related to <span class='nobr'>a blog<\/span> post, since I've\nwritten about such <span class='nobr'>a variety<\/span> of random topics over the last year.
