As <a\nhref=\"\/blog\/2010-11-08\/1656\"><span class='nobr'>I mentioned<\/span> yesterday<\/a>, <span class='nobr'>I wanted<\/span> to continue to give the pain in my arms <span class='nobr'>a rest<\/span> from computer work,\nso <span class='nobr'>I joined<\/span> him and ended up having <span class='nobr'>a deeply<\/span> emotional experience at this\ntemple. St\u00e9phane had been here before and so went\nahead at his own pace, and for much of the time <span class='nobr'>I was<\/span> completely alone. (In\nfuture posts when you see how spectacular this place was, even this early\nin the season, you'll be amazed it could be so empty.) It was very\npeaceful.<\/p>\n\n<p>The weather was much better today <a\nhref=\"\/blog\/2010-11-08\/1656\">than yesterday<\/a>, but the\nsun was still mostly absent. When it did pop out from behind the clouds,\nthere was much rejoicing and shutter snapping. Judging from the image data, <span class='nobr'>I changed<\/span> lenses\n65 times. <span class='nobr'>I hate the<\/span> bother of changing lenses, but <i>c'est la vie<\/i>. <span class='nobr'>My camera<\/span> bag was a\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thinktankphoto.com\/products\/speed-racer-belt-pack.aspx\">Think Thank <i>Speed Racer<\/i><\/a>\nand <span class='nobr'>I just<\/span> kept the lenses sitting in it without front or rear caps, so <span class='nobr'>I could<\/span> change lenses in <span class='nobr'>a quick<\/span> jiffy.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class='ic tight'><a name=\"044362\" href=\"\/i\/JF7_044362.jpg\"\n><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/i\/JF7_044362_sm.jpg\" width=\"690\" height=\"459\"\nalt=\"Overwhelming where does one even start to focus? Still, <span class='nobr'>I would<\/span> have been plenty happy even if what I'd seen\nso far was all there was, because even these ancillary areas were\ngorgeous.<\/p>\n\n<p>But it turns out that the large temple complex has two main areas of\nbeauty, and <span class='nobr'>I had<\/span> yet to reach either.
