FedEx has very un-Japanese (and hence\nhorrible) service in Japan. <span class='nobr'>My package<\/span> cleared Japanese customs at about\nnoon on Friday, and had <span class='nobr'>I shipped<\/span> with any other carrier <span class='nobr'>I would<\/span> have the\npackage in my hands on Saturday. <span class='nobr'>Yet here it<\/span> is two days later and FedEx's\ntracking hasn't even updated. <span class='nobr'>I called<\/span> FedEx Japan, and <i>they're\nclosed!<\/i>. &#8220;Call Back Monday&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n<p>I paid through the nose for the fastest shipment possible, only to find\nthat <span class='nobr'>I chose<\/span> <span class='nobr'>a lazy,<\/span> clueless company. Sigh.<\/p>\n\n<p>I should have known to expect this... this is <span class='nobr'>a company<\/span> that won't leave\npackages in the secure package boxes that modern condos have to hold\ndeliveries for residents who aren't home at the time. Every other express\ndelivery service uses them, and I've gotten bitten in the past by FedEx\nnot using them, having to contort my schedule to match theirs. What <span class='nobr'>a hassle.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<p>Never again.
