I took a quick bike ride up the Kamo river today to meet a friend<\/span> for\nlunch, and noticed egrets and heron at each of the many mini waterfalls\nalong the river, staring motionless and intently into the waterfall. I figured<\/span> that they were waiting for the water to bring a fish<\/span> to them, and\nsure enough, a flutter<\/span> of a wing<\/span> later, one suddenly had a flopping<\/span> fish in\nits mouth...<\/p>\n\n

The view from my bicycle with the 125mm lens didn't bring me close to\nthe action, so I may<\/span> try to visit again tomorrow with a 500mm<\/span> lens.<\/p>\n\n

Also along the river I found this gentleman perhaps trying too hard for a zen<\/span> moment...<\/p>\n\n

... and the area near the rear exit of a hospital<\/span> filled with staff and\npatients eating lunch, about every third person smoking a cigarette.<\/span>..<\/p>\n\n
