Today, 10-10-10 (Oct 10, 2010) is Fumie's folks 36th wedding\nanniversary, so we took them for lunch to a pizza<\/span> place a short<\/span> stroll down\nthe street, Pizzeria\nNapoletana Da Yuki<\/a>. Their pizza oven and cook's experience were both\nbrought over from Naples. There's not much to the interior design... it's\nall in the pizza and other dishes (of which we had way too much...\nMmmmm....).<\/p>\n\n

But the food is first class all the way... it was a most<\/span>-excellent meal. Happy anniversary, Mom and Dad<\/span>.<\/p>\n\n

As we were leaving, at the fire station next door we noticed a fireman<\/span>\nin full gear practicing a particular<\/span> action (jumping from the truck,\nfetching and donning an air tank) over and over while another timed\nhim....<\/p>\n\n

It was an opportunity to explain all kinds of things... air pressure and\nvolume, inability to breath smoke, how fire equipment is paid for (taxes),\nself preservation (because part of the drill is ensuring the air tank is\ncharged before rushing off to use it), and the importance of being able to do\nsome things perfectly, even without thinking.<\/p>\n\n
