Continuing with my series on my brother-in-law's wedding<\/a>\na week<\/span> ago, the previous post, “Shogo and Namiko's Wedding:\nReception, Part II<\/a>”, many drinks and photo ops gave way to the\ncutting-of-the cake ceremony, after which the couple were to step out to\nprepare for the next phase of the event. Part of this “stepping out” involved\nthe bride and groom each being individually escorted out.<\/p>\n\n

Namiko's escort was her mother's mother, and above was when she had gone\nto collect her granddaughter.<\/p>\n\n

I did a good job with the photo above achieving what I was<\/span> attempting at\nthe time, which with this frame was specifically to focus on the\ngrandmother, but I realize<\/span> now that the photo is a disaster<\/span> because a bride<\/span>\nis the focus of any photo she's in, so she should be in focus<\/i>.\nLesson learned.<\/p>\n\n

Grandma took Namiko out through a winding<\/span> path among the guests, yet another photo op among many...<\/p>\n\n

It was a nice touch that the music Shogo chose for this part was a song<\/span> by Kousuke Atari,\nwho Fumie and I have<\/span>\nseen in concert<\/a> many times.<\/p>\n\n

Then with the couple gone, it was time for some mingling...<\/p>\n\n

I couldn't decide which of the last two photos I liked<\/span> better, so I'm\njust putting them both.<\/p>\n\n

Somewhere about this time it suddenly dawned on me that as brother-in-law of the groom\nmaybe I<\/i> should be taking the opportunity to socialize as well, so I put<\/span> away the camera\nand joined them....<\/p>\n\n
