Anthony again attended the birthday part of a family<\/span> friend, Katie\nPatterson. Last year was\nbowling<\/a>. This year was rock climbing.<\/p>\n\n

Katie was turning six, and not intimidated by The Wall at all...<\/p>\n\n

In a previous life I used to do a lot<\/span> of rock climbing, but I gave<\/span> it up\nwhen I got<\/span> married because my wedding ring would cut painfully into my\nfinger, and I wouldn't<\/span> take off the ring. (I've never had it off, and don't\nintend to.)<\/p>\n\n

Now I'm older, fatter, weaker, and less skilled, so I have<\/span> no idea why I thought<\/span> to\ngive it a try.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

My arms quickly turned to jelly. This climb was little more than a bumpy<\/span>\nladder, and back in the day I would<\/span> have never even bothered with it, but\nit was quite beyond my abilities now, so I cheated<\/span> without remorse,\nfiguring not many would even realize that I was<\/span> cheating. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n
