The birds always hound us for snacks whenever and wherever they see us,\nsuch as I've posted about here<\/a>, here<\/a>, and here<\/a>, among others. But\nwhen Jena<\/a> stepped up to feed them, I had to<\/span> take a picture.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

I then spent a few minutes outside with my Voigtl\u00e4nder 125mm f\/2.5\nmacro<\/a>, and a chickadee<\/span> obliged to come around...<\/p>\n\n

Unfortunately, the scene was dark and backlit — not a great<\/span>\nsituation for a black<\/span> & white bird — and this one was moulting so\nit's really scruffy, so the result is lacking on many fronts.<\/p>\n\n

I didn't want to spend more than a minute<\/span> or two, so this was as close\nas I got<\/span>; the Voigtl\u00e4nder can get a lot<\/span> closer. I'm going<\/span> to have to work\nout something some early morning when the sun is low enough to shine\ndirectly in, and see whether I can<\/span> get some better shots.
