We've had quite a bit of rain over the last couple of days, and the\nwater flowing from the mountains has started to fill up the rivers just a\nbit.<\/span> The water<\/span> had subsided considerably by the time I ventured<\/span> out late\nthis morning, but it was still quite a sight<\/span> to behold.<\/p>\n\n

For comparison, here's a photo from a few<\/span> years ago, almost exactly a\nreverse<\/span> angle, taken from the bridge that you can barely see through the\nrain in the background of the photo above....<\/p>\n\n

When I took the first photo, I was standing<\/span> under the bridge seen in the\nsecond photo, at the far right, looking back almost exactly to where the\nsecond photo was taken from, so it's exactly the same stretch of river in\neach picture.<\/p>\n\n

Four years ago the water level rose a bit<\/span> higher than it had this\nmorning, but we've had no shortage of rain since then, so I wonder<\/span> what\nit's like now. I'd love to<\/span> see a time<\/span> lapse of the river's level after a\nheavy<\/span> rain.<\/p>\n\n
