It turns out that Anthony's art project, A Fish<\/span> That Can Suck In\nAnything<\/a>, was a more<\/span> than a hit<\/span> just here at home. He was one<\/span> of\nseveral who received recognition for interesting, individual thinking\nin their art project, in the form of an “Idea Award”.<\/p>\n\n

The prize was lunch with the principal, who has street cred with the\nkids (one of the sports-day activities<\/a>,\nfor example, had him dressed head to toe in a blue<\/span>-spandex super-hero suit\nthat I would<\/span> certainly not have the guts to don.).<\/p>\n\n

Anthony said that he enjoy it..... it's normally a bit<\/span> crazy during\nlunch (they eat in their classroom at their desks), but the lunch yesterday\nwith the two other kids and the principal was quiet, and he could eat fast\n(which, I took it<\/span>, meant that he could then go out to play more quickly). I asked<\/span> whether he chatted with the principal, to which he replied with “yes,\nof course” in a somewhat<\/span> “what else would we do, are you stupid?<\/i>”\ntone. I then commented<\/span> that the principal was a nice<\/span> guy, to which he said\n“yes, of course, what are you thinking<\/i>?” in a somewhat<\/span> exasperated\n“he's the principal<\/u>, of course he's nice, you moron<\/i>”\ntone.<\/p>\n\n
