Kyoto is starting to see splashes of color all around, quite earlier\nthan I expected<\/span> (which says something either about an early season, or my\nfailing memory). These pictures were from yesterday, which was a mix<\/span> of sun\nand clouds.<\/p>\n\n

The previous day saw some rain in the morning, and when Anthony came\nhome and opened his umbrella to air it out, this acorn fell out. He had apparently<\/span> picked it up somewhere along the way home and deposited it in\nhis folded umbrella for transport.<\/p>\n\n

Yesterday he brought home a pumpkin seed that he procured somewhere, so\nwe're off to a good<\/span> start on this year's plate full of\nAutumn<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

I love fall in Kyoto... it's just glorious.... just one of many reasons\nthat I hate<\/span>\nliving in Kyoto<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

I've done many posts with autumn colors over the years, a list<\/span> of which\ncan be found in my Fall Colors<\/i> category<\/a>. Three “Fall Color Preview”\nposts from last year (parts I<\/a>, II<\/a>, and III<\/a>) and a post<\/span> about a temple foliage\nlightup event<\/a> give a good<\/span> overview of autumn in Kyoto. There are some downsides to fall, such as the falling temperature and, well, the falling leaves....<\/p>\n\n
