I hung out near the bus stop waiting for Anthony to return home this\nafternoon, hoping to get a shot<\/span> of him in a nicely<\/span>-coordinated green shirt\nand orange sweatshirt. I concealed<\/span> myself behind a sign<\/span> to get a candid,<\/span>\nbit it turns out he had the sweatshirt in his bag. Still, I really<\/span> like the\nlook on his face in this shot.<\/p>\n\n

If he were older he'd be checking out the camera or its female user, but\nat this point he doesn't care about either, so his face is wearing a “just\nchecking out the world” look.<\/p>\n\n

It seems so long ago that he commuted to\nschool all by himself for the first time<\/a>, but it's regular fare now.<\/p>\n\n

As for the big typhoon I mentioned in my\nprevious post<\/a>, it turned out to be a big<\/span> fizzle here. I got up<\/span> at\n5:30am to find a light<\/span> drizzle and an almost unreal lack of wind. Tokyo on\nthe other hand, got blasted. Also, I followed<\/span> through on my plan to go to\nthe Shogunzuka Kyoto Overlook for the sunset, but due to a clerical<\/span> error\non my part, arrived after sunset. Sigh.<\/p>\n\n

It's been that kind of couple of weeks. I'm still<\/span> not even close to\ngetting caught up on email from last week's cold. Maybe next week....<\/p>\n\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
