type things at intervals that <span class='nobr'>I think<\/span> are\npretty, but the ugly city backgrounds make it impossible for me to do much\nwith them photographically.<\/p>\n\n<p>But I had apparently played with the develop settings on this one in\nLightroom, coming up with two opposing views derived from the same\noriginal.<\/p>\n\n<p>This calls to mind posts from two and <span class='nobr'>a half<\/span> years ago (is Lightroom really that old already?)\n&#8220;<a href=\"\/blog\/2007-04-20\/429\" class='quiet'>Freaky Raw Processing: From Sunset to Moonrise with Adobe Lightroom<\/a>&#8221;,\nand\n&#8220;<a href=\"\/blog\/2007-06-28\/504\" class='quiet'>Freaky &#8220;Artsy&#8221; Sharpening with Lightroom<\/a>&#8221;,\nand from three years ago, &#8220;<a href=\"\/blog\/2006-12-02\/296\" class='quiet'>Photoshop\u2019s Darken Blend Mode<\/a>&#8221;<\/p>\n\n<p>The better one is a photographer, the less one <i>needs<\/i> to do\nduring post processing, but that doesn't mean that post processing still\ncan't be an outlet for further artistic adventures.<\/p>\n\n<p>(That being said, I don't claim that there's anything artistic on this\npost... just something <span class='nobr'>I ran<\/span> across yesterday and found interesting.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I've been down with an upper-respiratory infection all weekend, only today realizing that it's not just a cold, so only today I'm finally on some antibiotics.
