\n\nAnthony is a big kid (approaching 3 years 3 months) and can use the toilet\nto make a pee<\/span>-pee all by himself. But he's not so big that he's no longer\ngleeful when he's successful, so it still is somewhat of an “event” that\nhe's generally happy about.\n\n<\/p>

\n\nYet, for some reason (probably because he's a kid<\/span>) he's often is reluctant\nto use the toilet. For example, this evening before bed, as I always<\/span> do, I\nsaid<\/span> “let's make a pee<\/span>-pee before we sleep” to which he\nresponded (as he always does) “I don't<\/span> want to”. This is our\nclassic evening dance. He also chimed<\/span> in with “I don't<\/span> need to make\npee-pee”, although not as defiantly as he is sometimes prone to do.\n\n<\/p>

\n\nWell, I have a<\/span> rule that says he can't have a final<\/span> glass of milk before\nbed if he doesn't at least try to make a pee<\/span>-pee first, so, as always, I\nsaid<\/span> “Well, it's your choice; try to make a pee<\/span>-pee and then have\nmilk, or just go to bed with no pee-pee and no milk. Which would you\nlike?” As always, he looks down and mutters “make\npee-pee”.\n\n<\/p>

\n\nWe then head off to the toilet, and by the time we get there he's forgotten\nhis angst and is energetic about it. He takes<\/span> off his pants and underwear\n(which I check<\/span> for “\u3057\u3071\u3044” — shippai<\/i>, a pee<\/span>-pee “accident”), climbs\nup on the toilet and proceeds to make a little<\/span> tinkle.\n\n<\/p>

\n\nAt the sound of his tinkle, I make a<\/span> bright and happy face and say\n“See, you could do it!”\n<\/p>

\n\n\nHe said “Don't say 'See'. I don't<\/span> like you say 'See'!<\/b>”\n\n<\/p>

\n\n\nOops, my bad! I guess<\/span> he took is as an “I told<\/span> you so!” I\napologized<\/span> profusely.\n\n<\/p>

\n\nLater on after his milk, I was brushing<\/span> his teeth. I was tired<\/span> and wanted\nto get him down, and so commented that I was<\/span> going to brugh his teeth\nquickly. As I was<\/span> brushing, the toothbrush slipped off the teeth a bit<\/span> and\ntapped his gum or something. It's not the<\/span> slightest big deal, as it happens\nall the time, but he latched onto it and said “See, you do it\nfast and you bump here.<\/b>”\n\n<\/p>

\n\nIt took all my power not to smile. From the repremanding tone of his voice,\nhe'd probably just been itching to use “See” and finally had\nhis chance.\n\n<\/p>
