I occasionally post desktop-background-sized versions of pictures that I\nthink<\/span> might be good for that use, and so my blog's\n\ndesktop-background photostream<\/a> and category\nof desktop-background posts<\/a> are full of them. I don't<\/span> actually use many\nof them myself, though... I think<\/span> I'm too lazy to bother changing them.<\/p>\n\n

For the last year and a half I've used “<\/span>Destination Unknown<\/a>”<\/span> (a mountain<\/span> stairway), and for the\nyear prior to that I used<\/span> “<\/span>The Color of Kyoto<\/a>”<\/span> (funky pastel-effect fall foliage),\nand for the half year before that “<\/span>Daigo Temple\nCherry Blossoms<\/a>”<\/span>. But I switched<\/span> recently (like I said,<\/span> first time in a\nyear<\/span> and a half<\/span>) to “<\/span>Serenity<\/a>”<\/span>, which I posted<\/span> a month<\/span> ago as part of my series\non the Sanzen-in Temple<\/a> in the mountains of northern Kyoto.<\/p>\n\n

You really have to see this one big to appreciate it.... the somewhat\nsparse tree in the foreground is about the only thing in focus, leaving the\ngarden itself to your imagination. But the relative<\/span> crispness of the\nforeground leaves makes the whole image feel sharp. Maybe it's just me, but\nI really<\/span> like this one. (What's funny is that I took<\/span> this by squeezing the\ncamera in a small<\/span> gap between two walls offering just enough room to see\nthe wonderful view inside, and to grab a photo.<\/span>)<\/p>\n\n

Anyway, today I added desktop-background-sized images to the original\npost<\/a>, and since I wanted<\/span> to mention with a new<\/span> post, I went ahead<\/span> and\nalso just copied it here as well.
