\n\nNow that the Japanese New-Year cards have been delivered (they're delivered\nen masse on New Year's morning), I can show<\/span> the cards we sent this year:\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\nOur Christmas 2005 Card\n\n<\/a>\n\nFor friends\/family outside of Japan<\/small>\n<\/td>\n\nOur New Year 2006 Card<\/a>\nFor friends\/family within Japan<\/small>\n<\/td><\/tr><\/table>\n\n

\n\nThey were actually both exactly the same size, but our address info took\ndiffering amounts near the bottom, and they got lopped off for this post.\n\n<\/p>

\n\nThe New Year card has a dog in the upper corner (2006 is the year of the\ndog), and the spinning top under “Happy” is a traditional<\/span>\nnew-year's image (for reasons I must<\/span> still ask about). The wreath-like\nthing on the Christmas card is also a traditional<\/span> new-year's image in\nJapan, but it also worked well on a western<\/span>-style Christmas card, so I went<\/span>\nahead and used it.\n\n<\/p>

\n\nIn a previous post I described a bit<\/span> about how these got made<\/a>, and in\nyet a different<\/span> post, I gave a<\/span> short intro to Japanese New\nYear cards<\/a>.\n\n<\/p>\n
