Today was a wonderful day in Kyoto... warmer than it's been lately, and\nsunny. And with spring<\/span> break over and kids heading back to school, it\nwasn't crowded in our area. The cherry<\/span> blossoms are almost at their peak,\nso today was perhaps one of the nicest days of the year in one of the\nnicest areas of Kyoto (which is one of the nicest cities in Japan).<\/p>\n\n

So, of course, we left, and spent the day elsewhere.<\/p>\n\n

The cherry blossoms seen above were on a tree<\/span> next to the parking lot of\nwhere we had dinner, more than a two<\/span>-and-a-half-hour drive from Kyoto. We\ndidn't go looking for cherry blossoms, but they were a little<\/span> bonus.<\/p>\n\n

We got home late and so I don't have much time to prepare a proper<\/span> post,\nso just these few pictures for now. You see mostly<\/span> yellow and purple\nflowers above, but there were all kinds... it was beautiful.
