I did, however, manage to install it manually in C:\Users\Michael\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Modules
on windows 7.

Just not sure why it fails to install automatically. Thanks!

The automatic upgrade stuff was all built by me as part of the plugin... Adobe offers no support for it. So I've got to do the best I can, but many things can conspire against it working, with access permissions being the biggest problem. It often works, but if it doesn't, the manual install is the way to go. —Jeffrey

I just tried to upgrade this plugin on windows 7 by pressing the Upgrade button on the plug-in manager page and I got the following error:

Error unzipping download to a temporary folder

Hi,
I just donated for geoencoding.
The icon Register Here isn't there, instead is "oops boolean".
Please help me with any information.
Could it be my fault because i am working with LR3 without register code?

Hans from Germany

It sounds like you're using an old version... please update to the latest. —Jeffrey

Great plugins! But a lot of hassles about registration, new codes, serials and paying. That is what I'm thinking Mr. Judge Jeffrey.

oops: boolean - faded text where "register here" button should be. - on trying to register with LR4-beta.
"Register here" button missing from plugins dialog.

Ah, my bad. I'll push out new versions that recognize that they're running in a beta and display a note that plugins can't be registered while in a beta. Once Lr4.0 is out and you've got it registered with Adobe, plugins can be registered... —Jeffrey

Hi Jeffrey,

I have been using your Lightroom to Smugmug plug-in on and off for some time now. I appreciate your contribution to all of us that have been doing this.

Today I decided to send you a small donation and register my plug-in. The donation worked without a hitch, but afterwards I realized that I can't figure out how to register and get the benefit of handling more than 10 images at a time. I'm sure you must have made it clear somewhere in your documentation - I just can't find it.

Please point me in the right direction.

This whole process exposed me to your Blog which I find a very impressive body of work. Even if I never figure out how to register, I'll consider this time spent today to be worthwhile.

Thanks from Southern Oregon,
Bob

In the upper-right section of the plugin manager, there's a "register here" link that brings up a dialog in which you can put the registration code. Thanks! —Jeffrey

Jeffrey,

Thanks for your awesome work!!! I love the Plug-in... a huge time-saver for me. Your kid is a cutie pie too!

I haven't looked at your other plug-ins yet, but will. The Zenfolio one rocks.

Thanks again for all your valued work!

Hi Jeffrey,

The export to SmugMug plugin really is a life saver, I had been trying to achieve the "one-click-magic" for a while, where Lightroom could take a RAW picture and do everything at once: convert, resize, export and categorize in SmugMug. Hey presto, your plugin makes it all possible.

Thanks a lot for the quality work, the pace of releases and the quality release notes. The registration and donation went smoothly, and I'm now glad I've "officially" acknowledged how helpful your work has been.

Keep it up!

New Ipswich, NH -

Jeffrey, Your plugins are great and I find myself using them almost daily. However I got confused about the latest Picasaweb plugin version and the "renaming" instructions. Now I have managed to destroy the functionality and don't know how to recover it!

Also a FYI for you and the readers that are lucky enough to have Google+ accounts. Pictures of the size 2048 pixels on the longest side don't count against the 1024MB limit. More good news for those of us who want to leave Facebook far behind

I'm not sure I understand what problem you're reporting, but it's safe to delete all "picasaweb-jfriedl.lrplugin" folders, and download a fresh one any time, and just point the Plugin Manager at it. Yes, Google does photos much (much MUCH!) better than Facebook. —Jeffrey

I suggest you move the "Register via PayPal" button to the top. It'll make registering a lot easier.
