Lovely pictures, Zones is my favourite. Is the 180mm f/2.8 new in your collection? How do you rate the lens in terms of sharpness, focus, usability (i.e. what does it offer over the 70-200)? Kind regards, Gianluca

Not in my collection…. I had borrowed Nicolas’s lens, a fact I had forgotten (even while processing photos for the post) until you brought it up. I used it for just a few snaps, so didn’t really form much of an opinion, but the results speak pretty highly of it. —Jeffrey

Nice wallpapers again:), I specially like the bamboo shots. I wondering… many of the structures, buildings, bridges are made of wood , probably they need to repair frequently because of the humid climate. Are they fixing them yearly?

One would think a certain amount of maintenance is needed, but some wooden structures are very old (many hundreds of years), so I suppose “it depends”. —Jeffrey
