Dandelion chip for chipless Nikon lenses. What lenses are you getting chipped?

Hello,

My guess is that this is a close-up of one of the elements of an electric guitar. Or better, a 4-string bass-guitar because there are only four little coils visible.

That’s an easy one: Nikon F-mount contacts for chipping a legacy lens (e.g. http://legacy2digital.com/nikon/).
I’m sure I’m wrong 😉

First thought was a bridge to a musical instrument but then that would be an odd design. Next best guess, something for torturing your skin during a massage 😉

Looks rather worryingly like the gold-plated contacts from a lens, but I do hope you’ve not been taking your 300 f/2 to pieces “to see how it works”… But the curve in the black block looks to be going the wrong way, so I guess not. Anyway, contacts from something is the best I can do.

I’d venture a guess that it is a dandelion chip or something similar. An autofocus confirmation chip would be the right word.
