I've finally pushed out a public version of the faux photo mat builder that I mentioned a month ago:

Jeffrey’s Fake-Mat-Building Photoshop Script

It's been a ridiculous amount of work to build, and then almost an equal amount of work to write up the presentation. I have no idea why I spend so much time on something that few people will ever use, but there we are. You can read about it here.

Thank you for the hard work. I may end up using this for my fraternities’ composite photo. Normally we have to pay $800-$1000 for one, this way we can shoot and just print a large print ourselves. Reading from sunny California. Also your regexp book is always at my desk at work.

I just noticed that you have not placed this on your goodies and tools page. I encourage you to do this, otherwise it will be difficult for people like me to find in the future when the blog grows and this posting scrolls away from being the current post.

Thanks for the reminder… I’ve put it on my photo-tech page. —Jeffrey
