Holy cow, six days without a blog post... I think that's the longest dry spell since 2005. I'm just too busy with LR3 preparations, sorry.

I'm still too busy to post properly, so going to my archives for some low-hanging fruit. This shot is from the last day of our short New Year's trip. In the thumbnail view above it's a picture of a bridge over a river, but view it full size and it becomes something much greater.

It joins a few other photos from the trip that got their own post, including “Theme For Our New Year's Trip”, “Deceptively Clear: Snow-Covered Mountains in Exquisite Detail”, and “Snowy Mountains”.

Beautiful scene Jeffrey! I really like how the details of the trees are so sharp!

It almost looks like when someone colorizes parts of a b&w shot. Had the reflection of the bridge not been so perfect, I may have suspected some artful photoshopping 🙂 Very cool!

On a similar note – A few days ago, we had a big storm. The next morning, in the early light, the sky was a bright vivid blue, the new spring leaves & grass were eye popping green, and the tulips were fluorescent yellow & red. I didn’t get any shots, but I figured it didn’t matter. On the off-chance I managed to capture what I was actually seeing, everyone viewing it would think I’d used lightroom and ramped up the vibrancy way beyond the point of believability.

Stunning image. I like the simplicity although it’s full of details.

I usually just lurk, but I really like this picture and just wanted to let you know!

Also, thank you for all the information you post and all the plug-in work you’ve done for LR. I don’t use any of the plug-ins at the moment but hope to in the future.

Fantastic photo. I like the whole black and white effect with the red of the bridge that makes this whole photo pop.

nice shot Jeff. I’ve been following your blog for about a year ever since I stumbled onto your LR picasa plugin. Enjoy both the plugin and your blog. Thanks!
