from a four-day trip by car
We just returned from a four-day New Year's outing. 550+ emails are waiting in my mail queue. At least that many pictures in my camera waiting for me to process.
We don't travel all that often, but when we do, wow, it always seems to be to a place that's photogenic, or provides for interesting stories, or both. Will have many blog posts for months to come from this trip...

“…don’t travel that often, …” Hahahahha. Your life is a proverbial travelogue! I travel vicariously through your blog!! Looking forward anxiously to the photos of your latest excursion. (However, as it is well below freezing here in Michigan with lots of snow, and I know you did a “cold weather” trip, I may not enjoy them as much as a trip to Amami or Okinawa 🙂
But that’s the thing… I post often, but the non-Kyoto posts are all from the same few trips. In 2009 we took a weekend trip to Okinawa, a four-day trip to Ishigaki, and an overnight trip to Tokyo Disneyland. Nothing too major there. Of course, I spend summers at my folks’ place in America, so that adds another long trip. That’s it. I had something like a dozen separate posts from the 2nd day of the Ishigaki trip…. we just tend to visit places that yield a lot of pictures and stories…. —Jeffrey
