Off on a Short Trip (a week ago)

So, I'm finally starting to get settled back down after getting a new computer and completely rearranging the physical and electrical layout of my home office and home network (the latter with Apple's AirPort Extreme, the best consumer router I have ever seen, by orders of magnitude). I've still got a ways to go, but at least I'm up with Lightroom and processing photos again.

A week ago we went on a short overnight trip... here are some photos on the way there...

I'll leave it for the next post to reveal our final destination, though I've left subtle clues in this post that only the most attentive, intelligent, and good-looking readers will have any hope of deciphering.

Tokyo Disney !!

Funny, I’m in and around Tokyo for the last fews days. Just came back from an overnight trip to an Onsen to the north of Tokyo. Fantastic!

Trying To Get a Better View – wow, Anthony learned how to levitate!

And as for your subtle clues – thank you so much; Now I’ve got “It’s a Small World” going around in my head in a horrible, continuing loop which I can’t shut off. Note to self: skip next post.

Those shots of the Kyoto shinkansen platform take me back to last summer. Thankfully, I’ll be in Japan again this winter and experiencing it all again, this time hopefully with some DSLR video…

I’m curious, did you use your 18-200 on your D700 in DX mode?

I did, for the first time. —Jeffrey
