I find these groves of giant bamboos fascinating and beautiful, and very photogenic, whether close-up or from across a valley. It is a shame they are not hardy enough for cool-temperate climates like the UK's (for those with large gardens!). Perhaps the CDs were to alert humans to the near-invisible barbed wire?
