Today was a sunny, gorgeous day in Kyoto, with temperatures in the low to mid 70s. Totally pleasant. Conveniently, I had an hour to kill while Anthony was at “Jumping” (gymnastics), so I wandered around with my camera near the Kamo river, where the Takano river joins it at Kawabata and Imadegawa Streets.

I don’t often comment but wanted to let you know how much I enjoy these regular posts that, bit by bit, build a very informative, intelligent and interesting picture of life in and around Kyoto. My wife and I visited your city back in 2000 and loved it; the considered integrity of your photography and writing convey your environment, as you see it, very well. I first found your site while on some technical search related to Nikkor lenses or Lightroom queries (I forget which) but I now read to travel vicariously.
