The house looks remarkably like the one from My Neighbor Totoro.

That movie is one of Anthony's favorites. I guess there's something about the countryside and old, broken-down homes that just goes together. The house also reminded me of the one from Kita no kuni kara, a soap-opera type drama that's run on and off for the last 25 years (of which I've seen only one episode). —Jeffrey

When I first saw this house, it appeared to be in an isolated country setting miles from anywhere. I was stunned , in a later shot, to see how close the road really was. Possibly it was, years ago, a farmhouse. Then the hiway came through, buying up the land with the house still on it. Nevertheless, in the parlance of house flippers, I can see POtential! Your comments also reminded me of an old popular song of the 50's called "This Old House" (No doubt where the T.V. show of the same name came from) And another T.V. show called "If Walls Could Talk" This house would also, in family code, call loudly to the binker.
