Ha! youre catholic too! no wonder your book is so good.

but really, though, that is exciting. there aren't many CS/Math bigwigs that are, it seems.

That must require courage in a country that is 0.5% your own religion.

Hi Jeffrey.

I'm a college student. I just bought the first edition of Mastering Regular Expressions off half.com for 6 bucks (college student, remember). I've always found regular expressions confusing, and I was hoping you could fix that. I buy a lot of technology-related books - particularly the pragmatic programmer line. You know, because they're hip and with it in the programming world.

Yours is by far the most useful and enjoyable book I've read in the technology sphere. I'm not all the way through it, but I can't believe how quickly I'm tearing through it and how well it explains the material. Oh, and the anecdotal footnotes are pretty great too.

If you have any other specialties, please write books about them too. Do the world a favor.

Japan looks beautiful. Hope you and your family are enjoying it.
