It seems like every year the arrival of spring is a "two steps forward, one step back affair," but certainly this year much more so than usual in Kyoto. We've had light snow on five days in the past two weeks, and we were at grandma's house after a late afternoon walk in the warm air when suddenly the hailstorm hit. I haven't seen the fabled snow on the sakura blossoms, but this year it seems anything is possible.
