I was there in late Nov. 2005 ((I am a teacher and was there on a Japan Fulbright Scholarship program) and I happened to be able to go inside the shrine and "turn the buddha stone". Any idea what that is all about and how often it happens? The temple was lit up at night and there were thousands of people there. I need to take a few minutes to look over your site and figure out what you're doing in Kyoto, but enjoy it! I think you must have a wonderful life!
